A man’s plan to kidnap a woman and drag her to a remote cabin apparently didn’t include feeding himself or his hostage, as he had to interrupt his assault to order an extra-large supreme pizza from 30 miles away. When Chris Turner arrived with the order, he noticed a woman behind the couch with her wrists bound. As her captor was signing the receipt, she mouthed to Chris to call 911. Instead of freaking out or letting the captor know that he was on to him, Chris “Ice Man” Turner left the house and drove to another house to use the phone. 20 minutes later the man had been arrested and was later charged with aggravated rape and kidnapping. 2) Beverage deliverer morphs into an action hero, saves woman
Brian Berry was on his beverage delivery route when he noticed an SUV swerving in his rear-view mirror. The driver was clearly suffering from some kind of medical emergency and her car was bouncing off the median. Berry pulled over, leaped out of his truck, and ran after the SUV. While trying to avoid being smashed against the barrier, he tried to get it on the passenger side but the handle broke off. He then somehow managed to get around to the driver’s side where he got a foot on the brake and eventually brought the vehicle to a stop.

FedEx driver Dan McCoy is veteran package deliverer, so when he went to pick up a package from an elderly couple’s home he knew that something was fishy. He could have just minded his own business and stayed out of it, but something about the man’s demeanor and the lack of a proper account number raised Dan’s suspicions. After phoning up the package recipient, he overheard something about how the couple’s son was going to be sent to prison unless they sent $12k to the police through FedEx. 4) Publix driver saves a woman from drowning

Scott Catt (A father of two) had been a drug addict for years, to support his drug addiction. This addiction started after his wife sadly passed away from breast cancer. His two children Hayden and Abby were students in McMinnville. To make ends meet with Scott's addiction, he wanted to rob a bank, yet he had no one to turn to. So, he turned to non-other than his children! His son automatically took the offer to pay off college debt, while his sister took some time to think about her decision. Eventually, she said, "yes" and the heist was on. They were successful in robbing a bank in Texas but were soon caught and charged with consequences for there sneaky actions.

In 1978, Mark Rifkin stole $10.2 million dollars through a wire transfer via telephone. According to Paul L. Smith, executive vice president of the bank, Rifkin had become familiar to bank employees when he had worked there for a computer firm. On October 25th, Rifkin learned the secret code used to transfer funds from Security Pacific National Bank in Los Angeles. He simply wandered into a room where the transfers were being handled, and from there, funds were transferred by wire to other institutions around the globe. Rifkin used these $10.2 million dollars to buy diamonds from a Russian agency. After being on the run for a while, finally, on November 6th, 1978, Rifkin was caught in his apartment in Carlsbad, California.

Robert Toye was born in 1948 and was legally blind. After being released from prison in 1974 for mail fraud, Toye decided to continue his life of crime with a bank heist. Toye was armed with his white cane and a note that claimed he had a gun. Using his right eye, he concentrated to see shadow impressions of other peoples feet and followed them to the bank tellers window. When he went up to the bank teller he showed the note which read, "Be quick, be quiet, or you're dead. Put all the cash in the bag. I have a gun. " Scared for their lives, they gave Toye the money and he was off. retreating from the back door. In 1977 however, Troye was caught when he collided with armed guards that were delivering money to the bank. He was then sentenced to six years in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York.

After being kidnapped Patty Hearst turned to a life of crime. Hearst was caught on bank surveillance cameras with an M-1 Carbine, holding up the Sunset Branch along with several of her captors. Torn, who had a loaded revolver and was very drunk, entered the bank through the back window of the bank. The bank was untouched in the front, left, and right sides. Without incident, the actor was taken into custody and transported back to the Troop B barracks where he was processed. Torn would soon appear in court on Monday, February 1st, and would be charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass, and third-degree criminal mischief.

Maybe you just need to pick a movie to watch with your friends and you have no idea what to choose. Well, my friend, I have a few suggestions for you; films that I'm sure not everyone has seen already and that, even if you have, might deserve a rewatch.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
I watched this movie the first time when I was just a kid and it honestly felt like watching The Avengers. Basically, you have a group of people, some of which have superpowers, that has to fight a bunch of bad guys, but, for example, instead of Bruce Banner that transforms in The Hulk, you get Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
I didn't even know most of the characters when I first watched this movie, but I simply loved it. I saw it again on television recently and found it still pretty good, after more than 10 years. One thing to say is that I discovered that the movie is based on a comic written by Alan Moore and drawn by Kevin O'Neil, I checked it out and I was pretty disappointed in finding just how much was left out of the source material; the whole thing had so much potential, but they decided to just make a 110 minutes film with it. If you are bored and don't know what to watch, I would suggest The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen; it doesn't get much talk, but, in my opinion, it's definitely a great movie.
Van Helsing
I saw this on TV only a few years ago and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed watching it. If you are just looking for something fun to watch, this movie is perfect for you: it has Hugh Jackman, starring as Van Helsing, Dracula, the best werewolves I have honestly ever seen in a film, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dr. Victor Frankenstein and his creature. It probably looks more like a video game disguised as a film and it's a bit long, but I didn't find it boring at all. I was just disappointed Hugh Jackman didn't turn into a were wolverine...sorry, that was terrible.
You Don't Mess with The Zohan
A few years ago somebody suggest this movie to me, they told me to watch it without even saying what it was about. I have never been a huge fan of films with Adam Sandler, I don't mind watching one if I have nothing else to do and they are showing it on TV and I am probably goign to laugh throughout it, but I don't actively look for them. I absolutely loved You Don't Mess with The Zohan, I don't care what anybody says about this movie, it's possibly one of the best things you could watch with your friends. Slapstick comedy is not really my favourite, but this film cracks me up every time I see it. A similar movie that you should definitely check out is "The Dictator" with Sacha Baron Cohen. I find myself quoting these movies with my friends to this day, that's how much I loved them.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
I was looking for a trashy movie to watch with my friends, something not too demanding that didn't require too much attention and I saw this title.
I went in expecting to see the President of the United States of America hunting down blood-sucking creatures of the night and that's exactly what I got. The movie does take itself a bit too seriously if you ask me, but it was a lot of fun to watch, I honestly didn't expect it to be that good. On a similar note, you should also watch Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies, if you liked this one: the title already says it all, you are going to get exactly what it implies.
Hardcore Henry
I watched this movie relatively recently, I had never heard of it before, but I am so glad I got to see it.
Hardcore Henry is an action-packed, ultra-violent movie told from the first-person point of view. It reminded me of a first-person shooter, a type of game I used to love when I was a kid and that I still play from time to time with my friends. The movie leaves little to no time for explanations, every time the scene turns quiet and still, you already know something is coming, the bad guys are going to break in and everyone is going to start shooting again. I went in not knowing what this movie was about and I absolutely loved it. I would definitely suggest watching it if you are into action movies and video games, it doesn't require too much attention, if you are just looking for something that isn't particularly demanding to watch with your friends, but you'll probably find yourself immersed into the movie thanks to how well the first-person perspective is executed.
The Babadook
The Babadook is not just a gay icon, it's a great movie that came out just a few years ago. I originally didn't intend to watch it at all, I'm not a huge fan of scary movies, but I felt like going to the cinema and there was not much else. I was plesantly surprised by this movie, despite going in with a hostile attitude.
I was ready to criticize any minor detail...but I liked it. I proposed the movie a few months later to my friends, we watched it and we enjoyed it. Even if you don't like horror movies, you have to admit that watching them with your friends it's a totally different experience: you can watch something you don't like it and laugh about it; you can find something too scary, but end up pulling through anyway. I don't know a lot of people who have watched The Babadook, but, the ones who have, told me that they found it a good movie and I definitely agree with them.
The worldwide phenomenon of the story of “The Phantom of the Opera” has been around for more than 100 years, with the infamous phantom haunting the fictional “Opera Populaire” in Gaston Leroux’s novel and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s famous musical.
What many may be surprised to know is that there are quite a few haunted opera houses in the world; operas that have their own mysterious forces, perhaps from the other side. Here are stories from five of the most haunted opera houses in the world…
5. The Springer Opera House: Columbus, Georgia This prestigious theatre was a major artistic staple in the southern United States. The Springer Opera House was revered for being the “greatest theatre between New York and New Orleans.” Its curtains rose for the first time in 1871. Many of the most famous actors of their day performed there such as Oscar Wilde, Will Rogers, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Edwin Booth. Because of its cultural significance, it was decreed as a National Historic Landmark which is one of only seven theatres to be honored with that recognition.
What draws many historians and paranormal investigators to this prestigious opera house is the spirit of who they believe to be Edwin Booth. Even though his brother John Wilkes Booth is notorious in history’s eyes, the spirit of his brother is far more playful and harmless in nature. In his life, Edwin Booth performed at the Springer Opera House in plays including “Hamlet” and “Julius Cesar." Locals believe he truly enjoyed his time performing there which is why he chose to watch over it in the afterlife. Women report the most activity, and actors have noticed props and wardrobe pieces being mysteriously tampered with by no involvement of their own. Orbs have also been filmed during investigations.
4. Huguang Opera House: Beijing, China The structure that is now home to this prestigious opera house is over 200 years old with a fascinating history to its name. Built in 1807, before it became a center for the arts, it was originally the house of officials from the Qing Dynasty. Other inhabitants who dwelled there included ministers during the reign of Emperor Qianlong. In 1986, there was a commission put in place to preserve this historic site due to centuries of disrepair. Its restoration was completed in 1996 and was open to the public as an opera house that same year.
Unfortunately, the builders had little idea of how to keep spirits at peace, for they gave little mind to the fact that they were building this amazing structure on top of an ancient burial site. After WWII a well-meaning philanthropist dug up even more of that earth to build a shelter for the poor. This undoubtedly triggered restless spirits to haunt the opera house to this day. Reports of activity consist of hearing screaming coming from the building, despite being uninhabited. There is also a belief that if you throw a stone into the courtyard of the opera house, you will hear the disembodied voices of spirits scolding you.
3. Glyndebourne Opera House: Sussex, England This quant opera house situated about an hour from London, was founded by John Christine and his wife Audrey Mildmay who was a singer. Compared to our other entries, this opera house is not nearly as old as the other haunted opera houses with its first performance being held in 1934. However, this doesn’t mean it is lacking in paranormal activity.
The main opera ghost that haunts this location is of a little girl who has been present from the very beginning. Legend has it that this little girl was the daughter of one of the theatre’s cooks who enjoyed playing in the opera house’s garden. Tragically, one day the girl discovered a well nearby and fell in. The grisly discovery of her body was not made for some time, but it appeared that she had fallen in head-first and drowned in the water and foliage. No one heard her scream as she fell in, which has led some to believe that she may have been pushed. Since that tragic accident, visitors and workers have often seen a young girl with a vintage dress and braids playing in the garden where she died.
2. Woodstock Opera House: Woodstock, Illinois The Woodstock Opera House has had a long, colorful history since its creation. The grand opening of this cultural staple was in 1890. Mysteriously enough, a fire broke out in 1914 which nearly destroyed the opera house. The suspects were two prisoners who were kept in the vaults of the theatre. During World War II the theatre ended its performances for a time, while it served as a Red Cross station. As interesting as those events are, the main spirit that haunts this opera house departed this world in a truly tragic manner. Visitors and locals refer to her as Elvira.
Many believe she was a desperate actress who so yearned for a role the theatre was offering. But, when she did not get it, she climbed to the top of the spiral staircase and jumped to her death. When she has been spotted at the theatre, she is a beautiful vision to behold with her long, golden hair that cascades down her back. Many actresses have shared experiences of how they have had irresistible urges to climb the spiral staircase and jump for no reason. Something else unexplained is how seat 113 is always folded down as if someone was sitting in it. When a worker inevitably goes to fold it back to its unused, upright position, it always folds up on its own. Likewise, during performances, audience members and the staff can hear sighs and breathing coming from seat 113 which is always empty.
1. The Paris Opera House-Palais de Garnier: Paris, France The last entry on our list is none other than the inspiration behind Gaston Leroux’s novel and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Broadway musical. There could not have been a better opera house to have inspired the haunting tale. It was founded in 1661 by Louis XIV to expand the arts in Paris. During its reconstruction in 1861, an underground lake was found which impeded progress and caused intrigue amongst the builders. Similarly to the book and musical, there were also mysterious tunnels and arches that almost looked habitable, as if someone could have lived there in the past. Supposedly, those tunnels could have connected to the entirety of underground Paris. While visiting the opera house in 1908, Gaston Leroux heard a rumor that the architect named Erik had asked to live under the vaults of the theatre, and no one had heard from him since. On his deathbed, Leroux even declared that “the opera ghost really existed.”
Moreover, like the book and musical, there was a soprano named Christine who was the daughter of a poor man, and like the fictional Christine, was raised at an opera house from a young age. Ironically, she never performed at the Palais de Garnier, but once she was scheduled to do so, but backed out at the last minute. Perhaps there was a certain opera ghost she wanted to avoid. Grisly discoveries and events have occurred in the history of the Palais de Garnier, which would have kept away even the least superstitious of individuals. Most disturbingly, bodies were found under the site of the building. Many believe these corpses were most likely victims of The Commons group that took siege of Paris in 1871. Not only were there bodies found, but the Paris Opera House had its own chandelier crash which claimed the life of a woman. Before these events, there was also a destructive fire that severely damaged the building. This fire is supposedly the source of the spirit of a ballet dancer who was killed in the fire and whose pianist fiancé was horribly disfigured. Because of his disfigurement, he was rumored to have withdrawn to the underground vaults of the opera house. Another spirit that has been witnessed outside of the Palais de Garnier is the spirit of an elderly woman who looks for her long-lost lover. Regardless of whether there are truly spirits there, there is no doubt that mystery and intrigue seep through the walls, corridors, and bowels of the Paris Opera House.

We Instagram users if completely honest, have all had thoughts like, "Why and when did I follow this person ?" or "Why I am I not as lucky and rich as someone?" while scrolling through the feed.
So here are 5 tips that may not help you gain more followers or likes but may definitely help you be happierwithyour life. 1. Keep it simple As simple as this tip sounds, it's all about keeping it simple and minimal. You may feel like you're missing out on a lot of cool stuff if you don't follow a ridiculous amount of people whose names you've never heard of! What matters is what you really want to see, your areas of interest. Following a lot of people may end up clogging your field and you may unnecessarily spend more time than you should. Hence, keep your following list short and precise. 2. Stop comparing Did your friend post a really good picture from that place that you've always wanted to go or does your ex's current partner have more followers than you do? Here's the answer: "It doesn't matter!" Having more followers and engagement is not a record of who you are. You can definitely follow constructive ways to have more engagement but don't get stuck on it or let it take over your other priorities. 3. Make the most out of your moments Don't miss out on your precious moments for the sake of an Instagram story! But wait! Doesn't our friends and favorite celebrities do the same? Are you sure they disclose every part of their good times rather than living in the moment? You can post stories but don't go the extra mile with the feeling that you need the envy of others. 4. Be interactive where needed Do you keep double tapping every single post that you scroll past through? As mentioned earlier, keeping your follow list minimal goes hand in hand with this tip. Take time to look at the posts, drop a comment if you feel like it's worth doing. Don't be ignorant, lazy or disrespectful and do not consider social media a place to breed hatred but try to appreciate the good. 5. Seek inspiration Although we all naturally tend to feel a bit envious watching others' content, it's always possible to look the good in things. Did someone go really creative with their post? Rather than being envious or looking at the grammatical mistakes in their caption, get inspired to do something similar or maybe something totally different that's of your taste!
